Motherhood is definitely my jam. I love it SO darn much, more than I could’ve ever imagined. As much as I didn’t want BalancedAmes to become a “mom blog” I found that blogging about motherhood was a natural transition for me. I will always have a passion in posting about positivity, health and fitness, and balance…but, motherhood plays a big role in my life and has definitely had an expanded role on the blog.
BUT, I LOVE when I receive messages from mamas:
“First of all, I’d just like to say a huge “thank you!” because I absolutely love your blog and have been inspired by it in many aspects of my life. It just seemed like icing on the cake when you announced you’re expecting, as I am also expecting a baby in November (my first!). You’ve inspired me to keep up my exercise routine and I may have taken your sleep memos too seriously because I’ve happily adopted a strict 9pm bedtime ;).”
“I just want to say I’m so grateful I’ve stopped to read your blogs about pregnancy, packing for the hospital, bodies during pregnancy, postpartum, and returning to work. I just had my first baby and your blogs have helped me greatly keep up your awesome work… It’s appreciated even if you don’t always know it!”
And that keeps me wanting to share our expereince. I have found a passion for being really honest about motherhood, in hopes that it will help continue to help other mamas!
It is also really fun for me to look back at these posts, how cool is it that I can read my feelings as I was an expectant mother, my birth story, milestones in Max’s life, etc. etc. ?! I made my favorite posts in larger font.
These are in reverse order, so you can start from the bottom if you are new! My hunky husband Drew and I had our first baby Maxwell on May 27th, 2016. We cannot get enough of him, and he made it easy for us to want to expand our family more. We are excited and thankful to be expecting our second baby in November 2017! 🙂
