I’ve been mentioning that I wanted to add workout posts that readers can do at home! I’m constantly listening to feedback + questions, so keep the suggestions coming 🙂
As Drew, Maxwell, + I make the transition into a two working parent household…we have found it challenging to find time to workout, keep up with the household chores, spend time together, + work. We’re going to continue to learn + get better at how to spend our time.
I’m continuing to squeeze workouts in during Max’s nap time. Today I did a 30 minute yoga flow + when Drew came home I did a circuit in the driveway that took 20 minutes. You can do this anywhere that you have some space! Max + Drew watched for a while + my photographer husband snapped a couple pics!
Driveway Circuit Workout
Repeat the following x 5. Rest for a 1-2 minutes between each set.
- 10 Squat Jumps. I did this right against the garage so I could have a goal of how high I wanted to get each jump.
- Shuttle Run. Our driveway has the perfect breaks in concrete at about 10, 20, 30, + 40 feet. You sprint to 10 (touch it with your hand), sprint back (touch), sprint to 20 (touch), sprint back, etc. If you don’t have such lines pick out landmarks or set out cones for yourself.
- 10 Burpees. You put your hands on the ground, jump you feet back to a high plank position, jump them back up, and jump! Go here if you need more guidance.
- 20 Skaters. 10 on each side.
This workout was challenging. I always recommend switching your cardiovascular routine up, especially if you normally do steady-state. Let me know if you try it!
