Drew + I just announced that we are having a BABY! Baby K is expected in May. We are over the moon 🙂 I’ve been very excited to share the news with you guys!!!
I’m so thankful for having a pretty uneventful first trimester. I have felt very well, if anything my only symptom would be fatigue. I’ve taken more naps in the past 12 weeks than ever before, but I didn’t really mind too much 😉 This is the primary reason the blogs have been coming in at a slower pace, so hopefully I’ll get this boost of trimester 2 energy that everyone talks about.
I’ve been working out 4 or 5 times per week. The biggest change in my workout routine has been listening to my body. Before, I would push myself hard or make myself get out of bed during the middle of a stretch of 12 hour shifts to workout. NOW, I make sure to listen to my body and not overextend myself. If I feel like I need more sleep for our baby, I sleep more. If there is a day that I really feel like I don’t have the energy to workout, I don’t. Luckily I’ve still been able to be pretty consistent with it 🙂
No worries my friends, this won’t turn into a baby blog. However, since I know a lot of my readers fit into a demographic that is interested in pregnancy workouts, I will be getting into more detail about my pregnancy workout routine.
Hope everyone has a terrific rest of the week. Xo. Ames
