Hi friends! Happy Thursday. Just when I thought summer was busy, fall has arrived and been full of events. This week I’ve gone to a best friend’s birthday dinner, a baby shower for my co-worker, church group, and add in a full time job on top of that 🙂
Today in Madison is windy and dreary. As I mentioned before it is about the time of year that I head indoors for my cardiovascular training (in addition to strength training).
Let’s be honest, if you plug away on the treadmill at the same pace…you’ll probably get bored before December. Adding intervals, hills, and speed work both adds to the workout and helps to break up the time mentally. This keeps things a lot more interesting.
Today I’m sharing two workouts that my friend Jacquelyn wrote. She is my former Chicago running partner, a blogger (formerly of FitSouffle and now of MindFuel Wellness), and a fitness pro. She is an all around boss babe, that knows a ton about fitness and wellness.
Try these workouts and let me know what you think!! The first one is for novice runners and the second one is more advanced runners (runners that can run 6-7 miles at 8:30 pace says Jacquelyn). These are great for getting your miles in and the faster you are going…the shorter you have to sustain it 😉 This is definitely BalancedAmes approved, I’ve done the advanced version and I loved it.
Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!
