Happy Friday friends!!!!!
Friday on a weekend off, it is good to see you 🙂 I’m officially on my new 1 in every 3 work weekend schedule now, so I’m definitely excited to soak in the rest of summer and thank goodness it happened in time for Packer season!
I hope you are having a healthy and happy week thus far! Maybe this weekend get out on a hike or try a class you’ve been thinking about. If you live in the Madison area, there are a lot of hidden and not so hidden gems. Devil’s Lake, Pewits Nest, Gilbraltar Rock…The time is now 🙂
Today, I’m just going to update you on some things I have coming up.
First and foremost, I’m about to bike 150 miles for MS. Whoaaaaaaaaaaa…did this come up on me fast! Which seems to be the theme of my life. If you want to learn more about the disease and donate to my ride, go here. One of my best friends Kelly has been doing the ride for years, and has been recruiting me to her family’s growing team. I finally bought a road bike this year…so I jumped in! This ride goes from my hometown in Pewaukee, Wisconsin back to Madison with a stop in Whitewater on night 1….perfect! I would be lying if I didn’t mention I was slightly nervous because I haven’t gotten the longest training rides in 😉 I’ve really focused this summer on lifting and getting stronger. Long cardio has been narrowed down to about once per week, hence the lack of long rides. But, I know it will go just fine and I’ll do a recap on Monday.
Next weekend, I’m going to head down to AdvoCare Success School. This is my first time attending this event and I’ve been hearing from my friends that it is a calendar clearing situation. I love to travel, it’s in Cowboy Stadium, and I know it’s going to be filled with positive vibes…so I thought…why not? I’m really excited!
A couple awesome things:
1) On Monday I was able to spend some great time with my younger sister, who is now going by her middle name Esther (my late grandma’s name)! We went on an adventure, had lunch, went shopping, and just caught up. She is so creative, so took a bunch of pictures of me that you’ve probably seen popping up on my Instagram.
2) That same sister just got in to the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. Her decision to go to college was a little last minute, but it seems like she ended up exactly where she is supposed to be. I cannot wait to see what she creates and learns there!
3) I talked to my older sister Krystle this week and her physical therapy business is booming! If you haven’t checked it out here is her website: Empower Movement. She is looking for an office manager if you live in the area (Delafield, WI) and want to work for a passionate, funny, and successful woman 🙂
How lucky am I to have sisters that kick some major butt?!Rock on ladies!
Throw in a couple weekends with friends and the summer will go way too fast, as always. Good thing September and fall are my favorites 🙂
Have a great weekend! -Ames
