Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great 4th of July weekend. We sure did! It was amazing to see so many friends + family. One exciting thing that happened was getting lots of compliments on BalancedAmes! One common theme is that people find it to be a place of positivity, and I love that. As always, thank you for taking time to stop by 🙂
Today I wanted to talk about momentum. Saturday was full of good drinks + good food for us. Every.single.time. I looked at Drew he had a plate full of something 🙂 I stuck to the plan and didn’t touch any desserts, but had my fair share of chicken nachos. Yesterday on our drive home we had Qdoba + a few more treats at my sister’s house.
WHY am I telling you this…because today we are getting back on track. Just because you have a weekend that is full of treats, doesn’t mean you should keep that negative momentum going and continue to let yourself slide. Monday is the perfect opportunity to get back into your routine OR start a new one if you haven’t been eating well. If you have leftover crap that you cannot control yourself around, maybe you need to get it out of the house. Even if you are tired today, get to the gym. It doesn’t have to be your best workout of all time, it just has to be a workout. You can do it! We are headed to officially join our new gym today and then get a lower body lift in. Another Monday off together…love it!
Sometimes when I’m writing the blog posts, I have a tendency to write as if you are all regularly eating well and working out. I know that is not the case for everyone, but since both of these are vitally important to your health it is what I wish for all readers. It can become your routine. You have to want it for yourself. It goes way beyond looking good in a swimsuit, it is how you feel + your overall health + your mood + your confidence. Every year at this 4th of July party, I get to see people I went to high school with. It is easy to see who has been taking care of themselves. Whatever your regular eating, drinking, and workout routine is…it going to show in your skin, your body, your confidence.
Starting a new healthy eating and working out routine isn’t going to be easy. You aren’t going to get immediate results. It is going to be hard and it is going to take time. BUT, once you have the routine it is much easier to jump back into it after having an indulgent weekend. If you need to get started, do me a favor and write down 5 reasons why you want to become healthier. Reasons YOU really want it.
I hope that this post inspires you to start some positive momentum!
I’m going to start a new feature on the blog that shares people’s AdvoCare success. These are my customers that have done the Herbal Cleanse or 24 day challenge and have jump-started a healthier life because of it. These aren’t quick or easy fixes. They both take dedication and planning. They are mapped out, easy to follow diet suggestions coupled with the best supplements to aid you in gaining positive momentum. One of the gals that I’ll feature used an Herbal Cleanse (10 days) to learn portions and what foods to eat. Along the way she learned to prepare her own foods and the best part is it stuck. She has been eating better since February and has lost over 20 pounds! She is committed to keep going and reach her goals! I’ve been coaching her along the way and celebrating her success right along side her 🙂 Proud of you girl!
