Today is going to be all about my AdvoCare side gig. On Saturday I spent the whole day with one of my very best friends Marissa. 🙂 She was telling me about her super sweet co-worker and how they both read the blog and talk about it. AdvoCare came up between them the other day. She asked Marissa if I try to push AdvoCare on her. She replied that I never had, simply just answered her questions. I’m not the best salesperson, but I do know that I never want people to feel pressured. I’ve had this post in my drafts, so after that conversation I thought it was the perfect time to post it and explain AdvoCare more.
I’ve received lots of questions from friends/family/readers and am currently helping a few people through their 24 Day Challenges, this is one of my favorite things to do! I love helping people grow their confidence and start to eat better. For me it all started with a 24 Day Challenge. My “why” at that time was to drop a couple extra pounds before my wedding. I was in a place where I was feeling a bit heavy and I truthfully knew I wasn’t eating the best. I ended up losing 6 pounds, but more importantly I gained a better sense of what portions to eat (I legit measured portions) + it gave me more variety in my diet. I’m so glad I took the plunge at that time. I think some people get the wrong impression and think that the 24 Day Challenge is a “quick fix”. While it can produce really awesome results in the short term, I really enjoy that it helps people learn to make better choices that can last forever. This is one of our very best sellers, and something you’ve probably heard of before this blog.
My “why” for becoming a distributor was to get a discount because I knew I wanted to stay on some of these products forever (aka Spark!). I distribute AdvoCare because I put it in my own body every single day. I believe in the products and the company. At first, I thought I was only going to do it because of the discount piece. But, after my friends complimented me on how good I looked afterward and bought 24 Day Challenges immediately becoming my first customers…I thought, well that was pretty easy. I do make money when you guys purchase from the links that I put up, but the cool part is that you could sign up to be a distributor and make money too. You are entitled to all the same discounts and income as I am. By signing up to be a distributor you get 20% off, you can grow that discount up to 40% and you keep it for life. I always let my customers know about that option if I know they are loving their products and they continue to purchase them again and again, it would save them money to sign up.
And my “why” now is that I want the ability to be a stay-at-home mom. I always want to be a nurse, I love it and it’s so rewarding. But, having my side income grow enough to have the choice to stay-at-home (and for sure go down in full time equivalent) once Drew and I are ready to have children would be awesome. When I continue to be a nurse + grow my AdvoCare income to this level it will give Drew and I the opportunity to give more (the money can go outside these walls to people that need it more) + we can pay down our debt + save (for some fun things like vacations to Australia, Hawaii, etc). After my AdvoCare paychecks have steadily grown and Drew is taking products again…he is been very supportive of this goal.
