I’m super excited about the interview today! You are going to meet Dina, my former boss at my first personal training internship that turned into a job. As a boss lady, she always made me feel empowered and encouraged. Dina is the mom to a 5-year-old, owns a business and has a hand in another, and competes in fitness competitions. Goodness! She is AMAZING shape and inspires me with her consistency and attitude. Enjoy!
Dina: The people! Everyone has a story and you don’t know it. It’s fun to see people break out and accomplish things beyond the gym.
A: What does a typical workout week look like for you?
A: A lot of times I talk to women that are very reluctant to lift weights, what would your advice be to them?
Dina: For the last 3 years I have worked in a women’s only gym and every day I hear, “I don’t want to get big”. I hear it less and less now, so I am hoping I am getting the point across that we don’t have the growth hormone to become the hulk! My suggestion is for someone getting started to reach out to a professional. There is a science and design to what trainers do. Get educated and learn so you have the knowledge to properly take care of your body the rest of your life! If someone wants to change the way they look, the way their body functions, the way their metabolism works, the way they feel, and their health they need to lift. You don’t need 6 days a week, but you do need to incorporate it in. Don’t fear it because you don’t know.
A: Favorite healthy meal?
A: Favorite healthy snack?
A: Do you ever indulge?
